The Golden Triangle Tour with Tigers is designed for visitors interested in stalking the highlights of history, royalty, wildlife, and handicrafts of northern India. You’ll explore the history of India in Delhi, visit the romantic Taj Mahal, search for tigers in Ranthambore National Park, and hunt for handicrafts in Jaipur’s markets.
The Golden Triangle Tour with Tigers starts in Delhi, the Capital of India, where a member of the Custom Tours India Team will welcome you. While going to your hotel in your air-conditioned car you will be amazed to see the hustle and bustle of this city. Depending on your time of arrival, you can either relax at the hotel or you can start exploring the city as the car and driver are at your disposal during your entire trip.
Start the day in Old Delhi where your tour guide will escort you to the Red Fort and Jama Masjid. You can enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk where you will wend through narrow lanes of market stalls featuring everything from antique silver jewelry to wholesale spices. You can proceed to the Sikh Temple where you will see how volunteers operate a community kitchen that provides free food to visitors. Continue your sightseeing to Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, and President House. Returning to your hotel, you can relax and enjoy a spa treatment after a busy day. Dine at the hotel or let your chauffeur drive you to one of Delhi’s premiere restaurants.
A three-hour drive takes you to Agra where the main attraction is the incredible Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz. On your arrival, check into your hotel and have a leisurely lunch. Then meet your tour guide who will walk you through the Agra Fort where Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his son and allowed to gaze at the dome of the Taj through a tiny window. In the evening, you can experience the Taj Mahal at sunset, when it is said that the white marble of the Taj Mahal shimmers with the colors of the setting sun. You can return to your hotel or explore dining options, such the excellent Pinch of Spice restaurant.
Start your day very early with a guided to of the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Have your breakfast at the hotel and then start the five-hour drive to Ranthambore National Park, with a stopover at Fatehpur Sikri. As an option, you can instead enjoy a train ride from Bharatpur to Ranthambore. Upon arrival at the park, check into the hotel to relax and watch the stars come out.
A safari through Ranthambore National Park is an adventure to see Royal Indian Bengal Tigers. You might even spot the elusive tiger named Dollar after the dollar-shaped stripe pattern on his right flank. Morning safaris depart at 6:30 am. And if you wish to see more wildlife there is an afternoon safari that departs at 3 pm. Safari schedules vary slightly depending on the time of year and typically last for three hours. Mornings can be cool, so wear warm layers of clothing.
After breakfast you may visit the Ranthambore Fort and then continue your journey to Jaipur, the beautiful Pink City. Relax for few hours at the hotel and in the evening visit Chokhi Dhani, a Rajasthani themed restaurant with local folk music, magicians, and a traditional puppet show.
Your guide will take you on a city tour where you will see the Hawa Mahal surrounded by the extensive bazaars of the Pink City. Then enjoy an elephant ride to the beautiful Amber Fort, its walls winding incredibly over the nearby hills. Next tour the City Palace, which continues to be the residence of the Royal Family of Jaipur. Complete your day tour at Jantar Mantar to discover the world’s largest sundial and other incredible instruments that were built by ancient astronomers. If you wish, you can explore Jaipur’s extensive bazaars where you’ll find handcrafted fabrics and blue pottery. You may enjoy the evening light and sound show at Amber Fort or you might want to venture to the Monkey Temple. For the discerning shopper, Jaipur is famous for precious and semi-precious jewelry and the team at Custom Tours India will be happy to recommend reputable jewellers.
After breakfast, relax on the five-hour drive back to Delhi, or fly home from Jaipur with memories of Incredible India.
The Golden Triangle Tour with Ranthambore can be customized to your schedule by extending your stay in any of the cities. The team at Custom Tours India is here to make your stay in India memorable and worry free.

Ride with Nand
This amazing trip started in the early morning at the Delhi airport, where our driver, Nand Singh, met us. The next 4 days we spent with him doing one of the best trips of my life. He drove us to many great places, and we enjoyed the trip very much.

Another wonderful trip!
This was my third trip booked through Sonia and her team. I was travelling with my parents and an aunt, all of whom are in their 80's. Our plans were a little complicated as we were all coming from different locations to meet in India for a two-week tour of Kerala.
