    Best Places to Visit in Mussoorie

    Kempty Falls

    Kempty falls is one of the waterfalls present in this area and the most popular place which is visited by every traveler coming to this beautiful hill-station. It was developed in the year 1830 by a British official. You will be amazed to see the massive rushing stream of water coming down the cliff from a height of 1364m. The waterfall is well-decorated with lush green hills and serene beauty of nature which makes this place worth-visiting and a paradise for nature lovers. You may take a dip in the natural pool created by the waterfall or enjoy Maggie or Tea at one of the food stalls near the waterfall.

    Lal Tibba

    Lal Tibba is the highest view point in Mussoorie which provides an immensely beautiful view of the valley, Himalayan ranges and the lush green hills. It is the best place to view the amazing sunrise and sunset which makes the complete sky turn reddish. If the sky is clear, you can also enjoy the view of Kedarnath and Badrinath peaks.

    Gun Hill Point

    Gun Hill Point is the second highest viewpoint of this hill-station which is located at a distance of 2 kms from the center. You need to trek for 20 mins uphill to reach this magnificent place which provides 360-degree view of the complete doon valley and colorful houses of Mussoorie with the backdrop of high-rising trees and the great Himalayan peaks.

    Cloud’s End

    Cloud’s End is another popular site of this hill-station which is located at a distance of 6 kms from the center. In order to reach the top, you need to trek from Happy Valley Area as from here you can allure the beauty of lush green hills decorated with deodar and oak forests.     Mussoorie Lake

    Mussoorie Lake is another popular place in this hill-station which is a man-made lake surrounded by calm and picturesque landscape. You can indulge in various activities here like zorbing, zip-lining, boating and paragliding.

    Mall Road

    Jwala Devi Temple

    Jwala Devi Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Durga, incarnation of Goddess Parvati. It is situated on the top of Befog Hill which provides a wonderful view of the Himalayan mountains and complete valley. You need to trek for 2 kms which starts from Cloud’s End in order to reach the top of the temple. Devotees visit here to get away from all the suffering of life and to get peace. The temple provides a panoramic view of Shivalik range, Doon Valley and holy River Yamuna.
