    Lodhi Fort

    Lodhi Fort is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Ludhiana which is also known as “Purana Qila or Old Fort”. Lodhi Fort was constructed by Sikander Lodhi of Lodhi Dynasty 500 years ago with huge walls and different structures which have been ruined now showcasing the rich architectural designs and culture of Ludhiana. The fort was completed in the 15th century and has been the ruling chair of Lodhi’s and Maharaja Ranjit Singh followed by Britishers.

    Alamgir is one of the holiest Sikh pilgrimage places in Sikhism which is situated at a distance of 12 kms from Ludhiana. This gurudwara is also known as Shri Manji Sahib Gurudwara and is one of the sacred shrines for Sikhs which is connected with 10th Guru – Guru Gobind Singh Ji. While the Mughal army was looking for Guru Ji, he rested here and meditated which blessed this place with spiritual powers and later a temple was established which later turned into Alamgir Gurudwara. This gurudwara has one of the biggest Sikh kitchens in India which can accommodate 700 people at one time.
