    Abbey Falls

A mysterious waterfall at the hidden corners of Coorg, Abbey Falls is a stunning spray one must witness plunging from 70 feet in height. Some of the best Coorg tour packages drive you through this natural wonder so that you can witness its beauty upfront. Flanked by acres of coffee plantations and spice estates, it is a quiet setting that makes for a great exploring ground for nature lovers and photographers.

    Raja’s Seat

On the western edge of Mercara Town lies Raja’s seat atop a high ridge that offers panoramic views over undulating green fields and valleys filled with white mist looming beyond. It was the favored sunset-watching spot of Coorg kings from where they could see endless golden light between two hills. Now a hangout for many Coorg tour honeymoon packages, it makes the location of beautiful romance amid breathtaking refulgence. This garden is nicely decorated with beautiful flowers and musical fountains, which enhances the beauty of this park.

    Talacauvery

The birthplace of the River Cauvery, Talacauvery is not just another beautiful natural attraction but also a place with great spiritual value. It is an important sacred place where a small temple and a tank are situated, which is believed to be the origin of the river. Most of the travel packages to Karnataka name it as one of the Coorg places which you must explore. Every October through November, a festival is conducted to celebrate the culture and traditions of locals.

    Namdroling Monastery

Built on Tibetan architecture and culture, The Namdroling Monastery (known locally as Golden Temple) in southern India is home to elaborate murals, spectacular statues of Buddha, and an impressive aura that spells peace for every visitor. Most travel packages to Karnataka offer this spiritual haven in their itineraries. The monastery itself is not just for pilgrims but also an educational institution aimed at sharing the rich Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

When to Visit: The Best Time to Travel to Coorg

The preferences for your Coorg travel plan should be formed according to its weather and season-wise strike. The best time to travel to Coorg for people who are planning a family vacation and outdoor activities such as camping trips is during October -March. The temperature is warm but pleasant during this time (between 15°C and 20 °C), making it ideal for exploring Coorg tourist places. The landscape in the post-monsoon months of October and November is green, with waterfalls flowing that offer paradise for photographers.

If you’re into nature and flowers, come between April and May. This is when the coffee plantations fully bloom, spreading a lovely scent in the air. But expect highs of 35°C for months these months.  Monsoon lovers might prefer the rainy season of June to September. Outdoor activities are slightly less, but the misty ambiance and lush greenery are more than enough for a surreal experience.
