Sissu
Sissu is a small village which is very close to Keylong. Sissu is the best place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You can sit here and take a glimpse of a majestic mountain covered with snow. Sissu is also known for the temple of Raja Ghepen which is the most important deity of Lahaul.
Baralacha Pass
Baralacha pass is again one of the most important peaks of Lahaul and Ladakh district which connect Manali to Jammu & Kashmir when entering from Himachal Pradesh. This pass is located at an altitude of 4,890 meters which offers excellent views of the Himalayas and the beautiful valley of Lahaul district.
Deepak Tal
Deepak Tal is a water body at a short drive from keylong. The water is so clear that you can see the huge white mountains reflecting on the water of the lake. You can have your small snack break here sitting alongside the lake. However, make sure you carry your garbage back so that we can maintain the beauty of this place and the nature.
Kardang Monastery
Kardang Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in Lahaul which was built on the banks of Bhaga River and believed to be dated 900 years old. This monastery is the oldest possession of Drukpa Lineage which is attracted by tourists for its excellent architecture, breathtaking surroundings and religious importance.
Shashur Monastery
Again, one of the most beautiful and oldest monastery of this region – Shashur Monastery was founded by Lama Dewa Tyatsho and later completed by Lama Dewa Gyatsho in the late 17th century. This monastery is surrounded by blue pin trees which makes it more picturesque for photographers.
Tribal Museum
One of the most important museum which can showcase you the glimpse of history and culture of Lahaul which is situated in the middle of the keeling town. A short walk can be done from your hotel to view the house of local attires from different centuries, various instruments, some of the old photographs for Lahaul District and surrounding towns, traditional straw shoes, etc…
