Jogini Falls
Waterfall which falls and joins the river Beas in Kullu Valley. It is named as Jogini Falls because of Goddess Jogini, so this waterfall is sacred for the villagers and below this fall there is a small shrine and under it there is a main shrine (small temple). As this place is sacred and peaceful, villagers mark their presence by performing the rituals.
Solang Valley
Solang Valley is the perfect location for adventure activities which is locally known as Solang Nullah as well, where Solang name comes from a village Solang and Nullah means water fall from mountains. Solang is the best place in Kullu Valley for Paragliding, Skating and parachuting. It is located 16 kms from Manali in North India and 8500 feet above sea level.
It is not just famous for adventure activities, its scenic lush greenery, snow covered mountains, apple orchards and beautiful lakes attract tourists from India and foreign countries every year. The International skiing competition Alpine Premier league has made it very popular among foreign tourists. To enjoy Skiing January and February is the best time and for trekking May to November is the best season.
Gauri Shankar Temple
It is an ancient Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Its architecture and historical past is worth seeing. Gauri Shankar Temple in Manali is built in Shikhara style architecture, which is rare in this part of India. The temple is located on Beas river and surrounded by the lush green scenery makes it worth the visit not for religious purposes but also for nature lovers.
Jana Falls
Known as Zana Falls, located in the small district of Naggar. Before reaching Jana Falls, a small trek is involved. Jana Falls are a must place to visit due to its Scenic beauty.
Khoksar
The village is located 73 Kms from north of Manali in Lahaul-Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh. Khoksar is the Gateway to Lahaul, the Barren grandeur of Himachal Pradesh.
Village remains covered in snow in winter months and is the coldest in Lahaul district.
There are treks that can be started from Khoksar as well from which the most popular is Solang Valley and Khosla-Tree. Other activities that can be done while staying in Khoksar are ice climbing, snowboarding and ski touring.
Pandoh Dam & Lake
Pandoh Dam is located on Beas River enroute Manali, a short stop would be a pleasant surprise. Pandoh lake is the reservoir of the Dam and water of the Dam is used for electricity generation. Pandoh Lake is about 10 Kms from Manali.
